Blanket Thinks that His Dad Is On Vacation

This is just heartbreaking! Michael Jackson's youngest son Prince Michael II, also known as "Blanket," doesn't understand that his father has passed away and thinks he's simply on vacation somewhere.

Blanket's godfather Mark Lester tells Hello magazine that Blanket is confused about death and didn't understand what the memorial service held last month was for.

Lester says, "It is obvious to me that Blanket is still unsure about what exactly happened to his father. He said, 'Where's daddy gone? On holiday?' It was a rhetorical question and it broke my heart.

"Prince was taciturn, unusual for him, but we still had a hug. Paris gave me a tight hug and we just held each other for a while. We were both welling up. I told her that her dad would always lie in her heart and be remembered by at least half of the world. Paris replied, 'I'm just glad he is at peace.' "

That just brings tears to our eyes. How do you explain to a seven year old that his father, who is arguably one of the most famous people on the planet, will no longer be around? It's heartbreaking!

Where is the Increase?

Many teachers in Negros Oriental are now asking about the said Salary Increase. The Government and the Department of Education announces to public of a 100% salary increase in a four year stagard basis. They promise also that it will be given in every month of July. The teachers are very happy about this good news even though it is not a complete package. But now, when they inquire on their ATM accounts, they are shock because, even a single centavo on their salary is not been added. Their budget and plans are ruins. They have believe that their increase will be another 30% on thier salary. But they are wrong. Nothing is added. And the bad news, it is not clearly stated if their would be any increase or something. Many teachers are asking where is the said increase.

I have heard that it would be given as differential on the next three months. So they will be waiting for a three long months before they can receive the said increase. And also, it says that it would be given as a check not directly to their ATM account. If that's the case, then why giving a promise of increase on July when the government cannot keep it. If they cannot make such a thing, so it means they cannot be trusted anymore. Many people already suffers in this government. The one on the positions are greedy and they don't even want to step down.

This is only the one of the problems of the teachers here in the Philippines. The GSIS (Government Service Insurance System) here in the Philippines is also one the biggest problem to all the teachers suffers. They have to remit to it monthly but in time the teachers want to Loan or Cash advance in GSIS, many problems will come out. Like they have unpaid months, and sometimes, they said that the system is still busy or something like that. Many retiring teachers suffers also because many of them cannot get their retirement because of the unpaid loans or the what they call hidden loans. Hidden loans are loans that is not really done by the teachers and they dont know how they have loans. This hidden loans are a headache because if you cannot pay it on monthly or in a years, when you retires, this loan will be paid by your retirement money. So it means, you have nothing to receive. This problem is not solved by this government because the one who manage on GSIS is their people and a close friend.

I am praying that someday, this kind of people, a greedy people will open their eyes and ask forgiveness to people and to the God.

Every blogger dreams about this. As the number of natural backlinks increase, your authority will also increase. But the point here is, are those natural backlinks really worth it? The answer is yes. It is a kind of virtuous circle. The higher the number of backlinks you have, the higher your authority, and the higher your authority, the more natural backlinks you will get.

In my blogging career, I’ve learned only two ways to get good backlinks: hard work and patience. By hard work I mean the content you write. Blogs like SixRevisions and Hongkiat are among the most popular design blogs. If you visit them, you will realize the reason: the publish a lot of high quality content on a very frequent basis.
Comments

I think I don’t need to tell you why you should be commenting on other blogs. For instance, I still remember the articles TechCrunch articles where I managed to leave the first comment. At that time, my blog used to get around 40 visitors a day. On that particular day (when I left the comment) my visitor count increased to around 110 visitors.

Some tips while commenting on other blogs:

1. Try to be the first one to leave a comment. Definitely it requires you to be pro active or to have some luck.

2. Try to ask a question on your comment. This is a 100% proven way of getting traffic. But of course I am not telling you to ask “How you doing buddy?” but something which will make readers think and incite them to visit your blog.

3. Try to keep it simple. Never write lengthy comments. Nobody has time to read a comment by someone they don’t even know.
Forums

Forums are always a good way of bringing in traffic to your blog. You can either ask your blog related question there, or you can put your signature as your link there.

Things to remember:

1. Never ask useless questions just for the sake of getting some extra traffic. There are always smart people who can ban you from the forum forever.

2. When you put your blog link as your signature, try to use some eye catching anchor text. For example, “How I earn few extra bucks working part time” sounds way better than “Click here to earn money”.

3. To take maximum advantage of forums, be regular. Devote 5 minutes every day to post there or start a new thread. This means 5*30 =150 minutes a month. It can get you at least 300 visitors a month and is very good in the long run.
Twitter

Twitter has always been a very good friend of mine for getting Traffic. Mostly the traffic depends on the kind of content you write. Twitter traffic is crazy about social media. If you are writing something like “10 tips that can make you Twitter rich” then I am sure your followers would love to retweet it for you.

One thing I really like about Twitter is that your articles which never get attention on social bookmarking sites can also drive you a lot of traffic.

TIP: Twitter will only pay you off if you are regular. Try starting from 10 minutes a day and keep ReTweeting stuff. Most of your followers will reciprocate you and will RT your links too.
Search Engines

This requires no clarification. But before starting your blog, you have to decide whether you really want organic traffic or not. If you do, you will inevitably need to play around with SEO. It is also worth remembering that some blogs will naturally perform better than others as far as organic traffic is concerned. This is usually the case with tech related blogs, for instance.
Buying links

If you are really passionate about blogging and following “natural standards” without any black hat tricks, then buying links is BAD. Period!
Social Bookmarking

There are multiple ways of looking at things. Some think it is good and some think it is bad. Let us know the reason why is it so.

Update in swine flu (Ah1n1) Virus

After a week-long conference in Geneva, the World Health Organization’s Margaret Chan said on Friday that health authorities around the world should prepare themselves for a rise in both the number and severity of H1N1 swine flu cases in the coming months.

In places like southern Asia, Africa and South America where winter is just setting in, Chan warned that the virus could mutate and/or genetically recombine with seasonal flu strains “in unpredictable ways” and must therefore be monitored closely.

“In cases where the H1N1 virus is widespread and circulating within the general community, countries must expect to see more cases of severe and fatal infections,” she warned. “We do at present expect this to be a sudden and dramatic jump in severe illness and deaths.”

According to the WHO’s most recent figures, confirmed cases of the new influenza strain have now topped 11,000 in some 42 countries around the globe.

Towards the end of the five-day World Health Assembly, Chan spoke to the assembled health experts of the need for poorer countries to quickly improve their screening techniques for the contingency that the flu becomes more lethal and infectious as it spreads.

“This is a subtle, sneaky virus. We have clues, many clues, but very few firm conclusions,” she told participants at the convocation.

During a news conference after the event, the WHO’s Keiji Fukuda told the press that the agency was reexamining its criteria for rating the H1N1 flu as a full-fledged pandemic and spoke of the need to factor in the virus’ severity as well as its geographical spread.

“What we are looking for and what we will be looking for is something, events, which signify a really significant increase in risk of harm to people,” said the acting WHO assistant director-general.

For several weeks, the WHO’s alert level for the H1N1 virus has been at 5 out of 6, indicating that a global pandemic is “imminent.”

At the conference, representatives from a majority of the WHO’s 193 member nations pressed the organization’s officers to consider reformulating the definition of a level 6 pandemic, fearing that another elevation of the alert level could unnecessarily release a wave of public panic.

“The bottom line here is we are trying to walk a very fine line between not raising panic but also not becoming complacent,” explained Fukuda.

He added that WHO leaders would begin reexamining the alert level criteria in light of the concerns expressed by the delegates from its member states.

According the WHO’s current guidelines, a flu outbreak must be declared a full pandemic if the virus is airborne and has caused sustained growth of infection rates in at least two regions of the world. Currently, the H1N1 strain has spread consistently only in North America, while worrisome outbreaks are also being closely monitored in Spain, Japan and the U.K.

Ms. Chan added that there was actually very little difference between a level 5 and level 6 as far as prescribed preparations and safety precautions are concerned.

“The decision to declare an influenza pandemic is a responsibility and a duty that I take very, very seriously,” she said. “I will consider all the scientific information available. I will be advised by the emergency committee,” she added, indicating that she would not make the decision alone.

WHO officials say they hope to have candidate viruses available for testing by vaccine manufacturers by the end of the month, said Fukuda

“We are hopeful that by the end of June, by the beginning of July, this will be the time when commercial companies will be in the position of beginning to, or being able to make H1N1 vaccine,” he said.

Although the swine flu issue commanded the spotlight at the conference, health officials also managed to put through resolutions regarding the need for improved treatment of multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis as well as laying out preparations for anticipated surges of a number of other diseases.

Swine flu cases reach 12,515 including 91 deaths: WHO

GENEVA - The global tally of recorded swine flu cases has risen to 12,515, including 91 deaths, the United Nations' World Health Organisation said on Monday.

The figure represents a rise of 493 on the previous WHO total and includes five new deaths.

All five of the latest fatalities were recorded in Mexico which reported 282 new infections, bringing its total caseload of A(H1N1) influenza to 4,174 including 80 deaths, according to the latest tally on the WHO's website.

Honduras, Iceland and Kuwait reported infections to the WHO for the first time, with Honduras and Iceland posting a case each and Kuwait reporting 18 cases. Forty-six countries have now recorded cases on their soil.

Canada posted 805 infections, up 86 from the previous count.

The United States did not report new cases, with its infections remaining at 6,552 including nine deaths.

Some countries also no longer keep a full record of all cases according to the WHO.

Improve Cash Flow

“Cash is king” so delay capital purchases, extend payment times, collect outstanding debts quickly and bank regularly, use trade credit or credit cards, ask for progress payments. A business can post a loss and still survive but it can only run out of cash once.

Control Costs

Review all costs and cut out waste, be careful not to cut where you may need resources, review product lines and cut non-profitable lines. Now is a good time to focus on efficiency gains but don’t cut into your operational base unnecessarily.

Reduce Inventories

Don’t tie up cash in large inventories, get rid of old stock, only hold what you need, buy in small quantities.

Focus On Service

Keeping a customer is easier than getting a new one – know which customers are your best and provide excellent service. Differentiate your business through service – listen to your customers needs and be ahead of the game.

Don’t Slash Prices!

Cutting prices might be a way to get cash into the business and sales increase volume but you will have to replace the stock at higher prices. You will reduce your profit margins and could dilute your brand in the process. Customers might expect similar reductions in the future. You should know the contribution of products to profit. It might be more profitable to increase prices and sell fewer than cut prices and sell more. Offer incentives like a second item for half price to increase your sales.

Watch What Is happening in the market!

Be aware of your customers, competitors, market, suppliers and try to stay in front of any changing trends. Be ready to take advantage of improving conditions.

I always enjoy reading these types of interviews and they are fairly easy to write. The hardest part is usually tracking the person down. Write 250 words about one of your favorite blogs that you visit. This is easy and you will be doing your readers a service to introducing them to a new blogger and you will be hooking up the blogger with some link love

Give link love

Another easy post idea is to highlight your top commentors and link to their site. If you are on Entrecard, you can write a post about your top droppers and give some links. Another idea is to do a weekly roundup where you link to the best blog posts around the blogosphere. You can thank some of your Twitter followers for retweeting your tweets or for the followfriday love. There are tons of ways that you can link to others and it makes a useful and easy blog post.

Share a contest

Let your readers know about a blog contest that is going on. I know I like to be informed about chances to win cash.

This is one of the easiest posts to write. You simply list the plugins you are using and a brief explanation of what it does. I know I have found some very useful new plugins by reading these types of posts.

Instead, these bloggers relied on long-term solutions that would ensure their blog’s place in the online world.

One of the first things that you have to do as a professional blogger is to get ready for all the work that lies ahead of you. Keep in mind that your blog won’t be the only one of its kind that’s already up and running, which means that competition for reader’s attention is much stiffer now. Professional blogging also doesn’t produce a lot of profit at the beginning! You’ll have to devote a lot of time to your site during its first stages, which can be a little difficult if you’re already holding a day job.

Despite these challenges, professional blogging can prove to be very fulfilling once your site has gained a foothold in its own niche and readership base. After all, it’s one thing to write about what makes you tick; it’s another thing to do that and get paid for your efforts! Earning from blog is a trial and error basis. You try something to increase your traffic and visitors in many ways. Some of that are failure and you shuold learn from it. I have try many ways in attracting visitors to my blogs and many of my ways fails. I am trying again another ways and many ways that i have read from some blogger guru and i found it hard to follow. So i try something with my own and i have found out that all i have done is wrong.

So, I expirement in my blogs. I went back to the things i have done before and try to figure out what really goes wrong on my first attemp. I search again online and try to figure out what are the successful blogger do to get the most earning or what we say "ideal earning".

I know that someday, I will figure out how to earn more traffic in my blog.

There are a lot of bloggers on the web already. If you want to attract readers, you are going to need to establish your credibility. Don't just blog about anything. Pick a topic you are are passionate about. Something that you have lots of experience with.

2. Decide: To Host or Not To Host

When it comes to starting a blog, your biggest decision will be whether you want to host the blog yourself, or use a free blogging service that is hosted for you.

Yes, it's free, but nothing is really free. When you start a blog with a free blogging service, you don't get your own domain. You get something like mygreatblog.blogspot.com (where there are a million other blogs at blogspot.com) and you don't actually own the blog. If you ever do decide to move to your own domain, you have no way to take your readers with you, because you have no control over the site.

This is the method I suggest, because it offers much more flexibility and freedom to do what you want. You will have your own domain name, like mygreatblog.com. You can get this for as little as $30 per year. In my experience, Wordpress is excelent free blog software that allows you flexibility and room to grow.

3. Find a Domain Name

For me this part is fun. You know what your theme is already, so now you have to find a good domain name.

4. Find a Web Host for Your Blog

By far, the easiest way to get a website is to go with a hosting company that offers "1 click installs", or instant installations for Blogging and Forum software. Blogs and Forums make it possible for someone with no experience to get good content up fast.
